Out of 540 applicants, I was among the 28 students selected to participate in this career exploration program. We met with various Department of State, United States Agency of International Development, and other federal agency/department officials. I learned about the many career paths that exist in the fields of diplomacy and foreign service. This is where my dream of working as an attorney for the U.S. Department of State began.

The best part of this experience were the friends and connections that I made. I have been able to remain in contact with a number of the participants, as well as speakers and presenters, which has been so much fun. It has been particularly exciting to remain in contact with U.S. Ambassadors, who have offered me crucial advice in my journey.
