FIU in DC's Fall 2019 Talent Lab Cohort
A Family:
Being a part of the Fall 2019 Talent Lab Cohort at FIU in DC was a great experience. Living in Washington, D.C. for the semester was very different for me since I had never lived outside of Miami. Yet, the cohort of FIU students gave me a family and a network. They, along with the FIU in DC office and team, gave me a home away from home.
The Experience:
FIU in DC's Talent Lab hosted events about every other week on varying topics. Some topics included cyber security, governmental agencies, international development, etc. These sessions allowed us to broaden our horizons and expand our knowledge into different fields. It also allowed me to build on my interdisciplinary approach.
